At a cost of N62 billion, the development of Gusau International Airport in Zamfara State has been officially launched by Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo.
During the project’s launch, the minister said it was the best for the entire nation as well as the state.
He clarified that the airport will support the state’s citizens’ commercial and agricultural endeavors.
Keyamo also revealed that the technical team is working nonstop to make the idea a reality and that the Federal Government would provide all required assistance and funding for the airport’s construction.
Governor Dauda Lawal promised in his speech to give the airport the attention it needs to be completed successfully in the allotted 32 months as per the contract.
After the project was finished, he said, it will contribute to lowering poverty in the state and the nation as a whole and creating job possibilities.
