Cholera Outbreak: Doctors Without Borders Donate Medicine To Jigawa State Govt.

An international organisation, Médecins Sans Frontières, popularly called Doctors Without Borders Doctors Without Borders have donated medicines worth millions of Naira to support the Jigawa state government.

Ths us to help in the fight against the recent cholera outbreak across the state.

The New Country Director who paid a courtesy visit to the Jigawa state Governor, at the statehouse in Dutse, dropped the hint while delivering his speech at the Government house.

According to him, Doctors Without Borders will continue to partner with the state government to ensure that more people get access to qualitative health care delivery.

He said, “the Jigawa state government has always been supportive to Medicine Sans Frontiers in our effort to provide health services to pregnant women and patients suffering from VVF”.

While responding the Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar commended Doctors Without Borders for their contributions to health care service delivery across the state.

According to him, many people in Jigawa and neighbouring states have benefited from their program of free health care services at the Jahun General Hospital.
