Ekiti: Fayemi Appoints Administrators For Newly Created LCDAs

The Ekiti state governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has announced the appointment of 19 individuals that would oversee activities at the newly created 19 local council development areas(LCDAs) in the state.

The governor had last month signed into law the bill creating 19 LCDAs in addition to the existing 16 local government areas which he said would further take government closer to people at the grassroots.

The Attorney General and Commissioner commissioner for Justice, Wale Fapohunda in a statement on Wednesday said the appointees would take charge of their respective LCDA secretariat with immediate effect.

They include a former state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Mr Ayodeji Aluko who has been appointed to head the secretariat for Ekiti East LCDA.

Others include Victoria Fase(Ado Central LCDA); Bosede Favour Dele-Daramola(Ado North LCDA) ; Kofoworola Rotimi(Ado West LCDA); Modupe Oluwafemi (Ajoni LCDA); Dupe Dayo-Ige ( Araromi LCDA ); Tope Fadipe (Ekameta LCDA); Olusegun Olawuyi (Ero LCDA) and Margaret Babalola (Gbonyin LCDA).

Others are, Tunji Ajayi(Ifedara LCDA); Taiwo Oni (Ifeloju LCDA); Olusegun Komolafe (Ifesowapo LCDA); Taiwo Bodunde ( Igbara-Odo/Ogotun LCDA); Adedayo Awe(Ikere West LCDA) ; Olusesan Aina (Ikole West LCDA); Gbenga Sanya (Irede LCDA); Titiloye Omotayo (Irewolede LCDA); Adewole Borisade(Isokan LCDA) and Ayo Omoniyi (Okemesi/ldo-lle LCDA).

Fapohunda revealed that the appointees are expected to resume in their respective LCDAs on or before Thursday, September 9 for the effective administration of the council areas.

The State Independent Electoral Commission had last week gave notice of election for the local government election slated for December 4, 2021, which the electoral umpire said would take place in the new 19 LCDAs in addition to the 16 local government areas in the state.
