The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday announced Hon. Alhassan Doguwa from Kano State, as the leader of the House.
He also named Peter Akpatason as Deputy Leader, Tahir Monguno as Chief Whip and Nkeiruka Onyejeocha as Deputy Chief Whip.
Doguwa, who represents Doguwa/Tudun Wada federal constituency, was former Chief Whip of the 8th House.
In naming the principal officers, the Speaker said he relied on Order 7 Rule 4 of the House Standing Rules as communicated by the APC caucus of the House.
