Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has described as unfortunate, the pronouncement by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami to the effect that a state of emergency may be declared in Anambra state if the recent spate of violence in the state does not abate.
Gov. Obianno, who was speaking to State House Correspondents after a private meeting will President Mohammadu Buhari, said he will personally call the AGF to register a formal protest.
The Anambra Governor added that during his meeting, President Buhari was not aware of Malami’s pronouncement but only stressed the need for a peaceful and credible governorship election
