I expect to have a fantastic relationship with my deputy. Thank God he is also my friend and I’ve known him for close to twenty (20) years now.
As individuals of varied background, we might have slight opinion issues that might need to be straightened out, which is natural with every human, but I can assure you that whatever issues that may arise, will be dealt with and resolved swiftly, we would espouse ideas and opinions and I believe at the end of the day, Lagosians will be better off for it. There will not be any doubt in the minds of Lagosians about any sort of rift between us.
We would rather concentrate on solving the problems of Lagosians and making life better for them, and that is what we would be doing. My deputy and I know what the job entails and we are ready to deliver. So, there is actually nothing for anyone to be worried about. The jobs are clear, the roles are well defined and the co-operation is very deep, the engagement will be very robust and the relationship between my deputy and I goes way back and I hope to keep it that way.
