Governor Umaru Bago Commends President Tinubu for Signing NCDC Bill into Law

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing into law the bill establishing the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), a significant step towards fostering sustainable development in the region.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago hailed the establishment of the NCDC as a crucial milestone that would drive rural development across the North Central region, including Niger State.

“The establishment of the NCDC is indeed crucial and a milestone achievement that would drive sustainable rural development in the region, Niger State inclusive,” Governor Bago said.

He further emphasized that President Tinubu’s action reflects his dedication to the welfare of the nation.

“This is another demonstration and a testament that President Tinubu is indeed a leader who has the concern of all and is interested in the overall growth and development of the country,” he added.

Governor Bago noted that the NCDC was designed to tackle pressing challenges in the region, including infrastructure, security, and economic empowerment.

“The establishment of the NCDC, aimed at addressing various pressing challenges including infrastructure, security, and economic empowerment, will no doubt make a lasting positive impact,” the Governor stated.

While expressing optimism about the Commission’s potential to achieve its objectives, Governor Bago called for collective collaboration to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the NCDC’s mandate. “I call for collaboration from all and sundry in the region to ensure that the Commission effectively and efficiently implements its mandate,” he said.
