Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has confidently predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure re-election in the 2027 general elections. Speaking at a weekend event, Governor Sani also expressed optimism that candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) would triumph across all levels of government.
“In the 2027 elections, the electorate will vote for APC in all the elections, from top to bottom. At the top, our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be re-elected. At the state level, the party will be voted for in the gubernatorial, national, and state assembly elections, by the grace of God,” Governor Sani said.
Sani’s remarks came during the official return of former Governor Ramalan Yero, Senator Shehu Sani, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, and Senator Danjuma Tela La’ah to the APC, ahead of the 2027 polls.
The governor also addressed the status of the rejoining members, emphasizing unity within the party. “Someone who joins APC today and the one who has been a foundation member 10 years ago are of the same status. They will enjoy the same rights and privileges,” Sani added.
Governor Sani highlighted the APC’s growing acceptance in Kaduna, noting that the party’s success is a result of its fair leadership at both state and federal levels. “The party has come to stay in Kaduna State, the North, and Nigeria as a whole,” he affirmed.
With the influx of members from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), including former House of Representatives member Muhammad Sani Sha’aban and several state lawmakers, the APC appears poised to strengthen its hold in the state.
Adding further confidence, former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Samaila Yakawada, declared, “There is no vacancy in the Kaduna Government House in 2027,” urging potential challengers to step aside for Governor Sani.
