A political pressure group, Soldier Ants Grassroots Movement (SAGM), has announced plans to organize a one million man march in Abia State to show support for Governor Alex Otti.
The group praised Otti’s performance during his first 20 months in office, highlighting significant infrastructure developments and improvements in governance.
Chief Ikechukwu Ijoma, the coordinator of SAGM, expressed confidence in the Governor’s transformative leadership, stating, “The state has not had it good for a very long time. Look at the road infrastructure and other credible developments Governor Otti is bringing to the state.”
The planned march will take place in Aba once work on Port Harcourt Road, currently being rehabilitated by Julius Berger, is completed. Ijoma noted, “What the Otti administration is doing in Aba and other parts of the state is unprecedented.”
Ijoma also praised Otti for fulfilling his election promises, particularly in areas such as road infrastructure, timely payment of workers’ salaries, and pensions.
“There is nothing Governor Otti promised he will do during the electioneering that he has not done or started doing,” he said.
The group further applauded the Governor’s commitment to progress, urging continued support for his administration and a second term. “We cannot but come out en masse to show him we are happy for what he is doing,” Ijoma added.
