In a bold statement made in Ughelli, Delta State, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, predicted a decisive second-term victory for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections.
Speaking at a reception for Great Ogboru, who recently rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after a brief defection to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Keyamo declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would lose its hold on Delta State in the next political cycle.
Keyamo remarked, “PDP will fall in Delta in the next political dispensation. The President has won 2027 already.” He attributed the APC’s 2023 loss in Delta to the departure of key stakeholders but expressed optimism for the future. “We look forward to the future with much more certainty,” he said, highlighting the success of the Olorogun Otega Emerhor-led reconciliation committee in restoring unity within the Delta APC.
Ogboru, upon his return to the APC, echoed Keyamo’s optimism, stating, “APC will take over Delta to change the life of the people for the better. After all, a better life and good fortune are the hallmarks of democracy.”
The event, attended by key political figures, signaled a strong commitment to strengthening the party’s influence in Delta, setting the stage for a more unified APC as it looks ahead to the 2027 elections.
