The Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has lauded Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for approving the recruitment of 1,100 primary school teachers across the state’s 18 local government areas.

In a statement released by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Bolu Ajijo, the recruitment process has now been completed, following the Governor’s directive.

This move is part of the state’s effort to address critical staffing shortages in public primary schools.

The statement read, “Governor Aiyedatiwa authorized the employment of the 1,100 teachers to fill existing gaps and improve the quality of education in the state.”

Victor Olambitan, the Executive Chairman of Ondo SUBEB, expressed his gratitude to the governor, emphasizing that the recruitment would address the significant teacher shortages, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas.

He noted, “This employment will go a long way in enhancing the quality of education delivered, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas across the state.”

The approval is seen as a crucial step in improving the pupil-to-teacher ratio and enhancing the overall educational experience in Ondo State’s public primary schools.
