Dangote Group is set to make significant investments in Ogun State, with plans for new cement plants and Nigeria’s largest seaport.

During a visit to Governor Dapo Abiodun, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, praised the governor’s business-friendly policies, which he credits for the company’s return to the state.

“We have returned to Ogun, and the progress at our factory in Itori is incredible,” Dangote said. He noted that two new cement plant lines with a combined capacity of 6 million metric tonnes per annum have been completed in Itori.

Additionally, a 12 million metric tonnes per annum plant is under construction at Ibeshe, bringing the total cement production capacity in Ogun to 18 million metric tonnes annually.

Dangote also announced plans to build Nigeria’s largest seaport in the Olokola Free Trade Zone. “Thanks to your policies and a favorable business climate, we are returning to Olokola,” he said.

Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude for Dangote’s continued investment, calling it a major boost to the state’s economy. “Your selfless promotion of Nigeria globally is commendable,” he said, highlighting the importance of Dangote’s contributions to national development.
