Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Otunba Oladipupo Oluwaloni as the Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
This decision follows the extended absence of the substantive chairman, Chief Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale, who has been absent for over six months due to health issues.
The appointment was officially conveyed through a letter from the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Roberts.
The letter instructed Oluwaloni to immediately assume office to ensure uninterrupted governance in the council.
In response to his new role, Oluwaloni expressed his gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the APC leadership, saying, “This appointment is a call to service, and I am fully committed to delivering effective, responsive leadership that aligns with the development agenda of our state.”
He emphasized his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of residents and ensuring continued progress in the community.
The leadership transition was facilitated by the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the guidance of its chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi. Their support was crucial in maintaining governance stability at the grassroots level.
Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the appointment, hopeful that Oluwaloni’s leadership will bring about lasting progress and stability in the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
