Ogun State Government Sets Up Committee To Probe Rots In Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital

The Ogun State Government has constituted a panel of inquiry to access the current state of the State-owned Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) with the aim to improve its standard.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin on Tuesday.

The release noted that the 9-man committee headed by the Chief Medical Director of Reddington Hospital, Dr. Yemi Onabowale will assess the current operations of the hospital so as to design a direction for the government on how to better the lot of the hospital.

The committee is as well expected to assess the operational modalities of the hospital and ascertain its compliance with the acceptable standard for medical training, research, and development.

Members of the committee include; Dr. Folabi Ogunlesi (Member) Dr. Dupe Oludipe (Member), Dr. Kehinde Ololade (Member) Alhaji Wasiu Lawal
(Member) Mr. Olumide Obube (Member) Akinola Adekunle (Member)Femi Akinwunmi (Member).

However, Deputy Director, Hospital Services in the State Ministry of Health, Dr. Shokunbi Solomon will serve as the Secretary to the Panel.
