Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State yesterday passed a vote of confidence on Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya over what they described as his commitment and efforts in developing the state.

Rising from a one-day meeting of the stakeholders from Gombe North Senatorial District held in Kwami town, the members comprising party elders and political office holders from the zone affirmed their support and loyalty to Governor Yahaya’s administration.

A communique read by Senator Sa’idu Ahmed Alkali said the stakeholders from the zone have unanimously committed to supporting Governor Yahaya in recognition of the “tremendous achievements” of his administration in two years and the gigantic projects he executed in Gombe North Senatorial District.

They commended the governor for his commitment to the sustenance of the prevailing peace and security in the state.

The stakeholders also condemned the “antics” of some members of APC in the state, whom they accused of causing discord and rancour among members to polarise the party.
