Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State paid host to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State during the commissioning of the new headquarters complex of Ekiti State Water Corporation in the State.
Governor Fayemi in a statement made available the public said this is one of the over 18 projects executed across the state under the Third National Urban Water Sector Reform Project, a World Bank-assisted programme designed to reposition our water sector.
He said that despite the little resources available to Ekiti State, they have fulfilled the counterpart fund contribution in this project.
“I am pleased to share that we have rehabilitated Ero, Egbe and Ureje Dams, and constructed new transmission main pipelines from Ado to Ifaki and 2000 cubic meter reservoir at Fajuyi, Ado-Ekiti to improve water supply to all the Local Government Areas of our State,”the statement added.
