Imo State Executive Council Approves N31.9b As 2022 Supplementary Budget

The Imo State Executive Council has approved a supplementary budget of N31.9b for the year 2021 for sundry expenditures incurred during the year.

The supplementary budget which has been sent to the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) for necessary action, would in addition to others, settle expenditures incurred in the course of combating the insecurity witnessed in the State recently.

The State in a statement said “despite the limited resources at the disposal of the State, there was an urgent need to arrest the ugly monster that roared its head against the people of Imo State.”

“However, this came at a cost hence the supplementary budget as proposed.”

Meanwhile, in keeping with the commitment of the State Government to sustain and improve on the current security network of the state, the Government would be launching the Imo State Security Network in the coming days.
