Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on senior civil servants in the state to maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability in their duties.

The governor made the call while opening a five-day leadership training for top civil servants in Ogun State, held at Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance Studies, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.

Represented by Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Abiodun emphasized the importance of civil servants leading by example. He stated, “As citizens look up to you as top echelons to uphold the highest standards, you must continue to lead by example and remain faithful to the principles of transparency, responsibility, and service to humanity.”

Abiodun expressed his gratitude to the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr) Sikiru Adetona, for his support in establishing the institute, as well as to President Bola Tinubu for approving the school’s takeover by the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

The state’s Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, assured the governor that the training would positively impact public service delivery, noting, “The knowledge, insight, and skills acquired from the training would help to enhance service delivery.”

The training, which targets permanent secretaries, general managers, and heads of professional bodies in the state, reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening Ogun’s public service for development.

Prof. Sola Adeyanju, Director of the institute, and Prof. Ayodeji Omotayo, Director General of NIPSS, both expressed confidence that the program would contribute significantly to Ogun’s growth.
