Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Tuesday presented the 2022 appropriation bill to the state House of Assembly.
Presenting the bill before the lawmakers, Akeredolu said he proposed N191,638,387.000.00 billion for the fiscal year 2022.
He, therefore, presented bill which contained the details of the Budget proposal for the consideration and approval of the Assembly.
The governor sought the support of the lawmakers for successful running of the state affairs.
He said: “Before I finally lay the Appropriation Bill of our Administration for the year 2022, I seek a continued partnership that will help in running government more efficiently in the light of economic challenges that call for more discipline and probity.
“The challenges that lie ahead in the incoming year dictate that we should all work together, as we seek to create an enduring economy for our dear State, knowing fully well that whatsoever we do today is tomorrow’s history.
“Therefore, I enjoined you all to join hands with me as we strive to write our names in gold and in the sand of time for the generation coming after us to see.
“Mr Speaker, let me assure you that we are very determined and we shall remain undaunted, undeterred, unperturbed and focused in our effort to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people and to make Ondo State the cynosure of all eyes.”
