Bayelsa: Governor Diri Inspects Road Project

Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri on Wednesday embarked on a routine inspection of one of his flagship projects, the Bayelsa West Senatorial road.

The inspection took place weekly State Executive Council meeting.

The entourage that joined the governor on the inspection included a leader of the State, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali.

They inspected the ongoing construction work on the Sagbama-Ekeremor road Phase 1 between the Toru-Orua community in Sagbama LGA and Aleibiri community in Ekeremor LGA.

The Governor in a statement express delight at the contractor, Setraco, “for measuring up to the terms and it is even more reassuring to see that most of the bridges and culverts on that section are almost completed.”

He added, “To put it succinctly, I am very impressed with the pace of work and the supervisory Ministry of Works and Infrastructure alongside the contractor have assured on the timely completion.

“As Governor, we will continue to do the needful and work hard to deliver this road to Ekeremor town and by God’s grace, before the end of our first tenure. We are surely not looking back as the road
