The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, led by Tony Okocha, has issued a stern ultimatum to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, demanding that he either resign or face impeachment by the State House of Assembly.

The call was made during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Okocha accused Governor Fubara of mismanaging the state, asserting that his administration has plunged Rivers into crisis.

“Governor Fubara has only two options – resignation or impeachment,” Okocha stated firmly.

He went on to allege that the Supreme Court had ruled there is no functional government in Rivers State, pointing to various infractions by the governor that he described as impeachable offenses.

“The Supreme Court has made it clear that Fubara’s actions are unacceptable,” Okocha added, further claiming that the governor has lost the authority to summon Assembly members for discussions.
