Edo: Obaseki Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Victor Uwaifo

Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo State, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the family of the visit Late Sir Victor Uwaifo.

The visit took place at the residence of Late Sir Victor Uwaifo, in Ekehuan Road, Benin City.

Governor Obaseki during the visit eulogized the virtues of the late music maestro, describing his death as a loss of one of the country’s finest assets.

According to him, “Late Uwaifo was a music icon, a legend, and a national asset. His loss is not just to the state, but to the country at large. You cannot talk about the state’s culture and art scene without talking about him. He is a legend and needs to be celebrated as such.“

The wife of the deceased, Princess Osaretin Uwaifo, addressing her visitors, thanked the governor and his entourage for the visit, noting that it has given the family peace that the state government is one with them during their time of grief.
