Shamsuddeen Bala Mohammed, the son of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, has called on Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, to focus on empowering youths during his upcoming visit to the state.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Shamsuddeen urged Tinubu not to reduce the youth of Bauchi to beggars by offering temporary handouts, especially food, during Ramadan.

He emphasized that Bauchi youths need more sustainable support such as employment opportunities, resources to start businesses, and training in skills like crypto trading.

“Please, when coming to Bauchi for the #RHYE, empower our youths with employment, Keke NAPEP, monies to start a business, ICT infrastructure and training for crypto trading and so on,” he wrote.

Shamsuddeen further stated, “We the youths of Bauchi don’t need rice and food in nylon bags during Ramadan. Teach our youths how to fish, rather than feed them for one day. They are not beggars.”

This appeal follows Seyi Tinubu’s recent visits to northern states where he was seen distributing food to the less fortunate.
