Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo, has raised concerns about the activities of fake native doctors and prophets in the state, who deceive young people into taking risks, including drug trafficking.

According to Soludo, these individuals claim to prepare charms that can evade security checks, leading many youths to end up in jail or face worse consequences.

Speaking at a political gathering in Awka, Soludo revealed that 23 Anambra indigenes are on death row in Indonesia for drug-related offenses. He emphasized that such beliefs damage the mindsets of youths, encouraging them to seek wealth without hard work.

The governor also addressed a protest by followers of a detained pastor, saying the administration has concrete evidence before making arrests.

Soludo warned that any native doctor caught making deceptive claims would be arrested.
