Firm Donates 5MW Power Project to Boost Ondo’s Electricity Supply

In a significant move to improve electricity supply in Ondo State, Lincs Power Energy Solutions, in collaboration with the state government, has inaugurated a 5-megawatt power project in Ondo town.

The project, aimed at ensuring a more reliable power supply, is expected to be expanded to 20 megawatts in the future, providing electricity to the entire state and surrounding areas.

At the groundbreaking ceremony held on Sunday, Project Manager Mr. Otinniyi Micheal highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that the expanded 20MW capacity would “provide reliable electricity to the entire Ondo State and its environs.”

He praised the support from the state governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and expressed optimism for the swift completion of the project.

The project’s facilitator, Mr. Olumbe Akinkugbe, emphasized its economic impact, stating that the 5MW capacity would “boost economic growth and improve the quality of life for residents” in Ondo West Local Government and nearby areas.

Akinkugbe also highlighted plans for future expansion to 20MW, ensuring long-term energy stability for the region.

Governor Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Special Adviser on Energy, Mr. Alabi Johnson, expressed his gratitude to Akinkugbe for his pivotal role in the project’s development and urged local communities to support the initiative.

This initiative promises to enhance Ondo’s energy infrastructure, driving both economic development and improved living conditions for residents.
