In a significant move to reward academic excellence, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has unveiled the “Imole Statewide Public and Private Schools Students SSCE Scholarship,” aimed at recognizing the best-performing Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) students across the state.

Supported by the Electronic Collections Group (ECG), the scholarship initiative seeks to honor outstanding students from both public and private schools in all 30 local government areas and the area office of Osun State.

The scholarship will grant a ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira) reward to the top student in Osun State. Additionally, each of the best-performing students in both public and private schools from the 30 local governments will receive a ₦100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) scholarship.

In a bid to support educational development, the best public and private schools will receive ₦500,000 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) to enhance their academic programs. Teachers of the best students in each local government area will also be recognized and rewarded with exciting gift items, highlighting the critical role educators play in shaping academic success.

“We are committed to raising the bar of academic excellence in Osun State,” said Hon. Dipo Eluwole, the Honourable Commissioner for Education. “This scholarship is not just a reward but a stepping stone for students to achieve greater heights, and a recognition of the hard work of our teachers and schools.”

Eluwole urged both students and educators to prepare rigorously for the upcoming 2025 WAEC SSCE, as the scholarship will be awarded based on the results of that examination.

“We look forward to seeing the talented students of Osun State shine on the national stage,” he added.

The scholarship winners will be officially announced after the release of the SSCE results.
