Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Oluyomi Finnih, a respected member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), in honor of his 83rd birthday, celebrated on Sunday.
In a statement shared via Twitter, Governor Sanwo-Olu recognized Dr. Finnih’s exceptional contributions to the medical profession and his unwavering dedication to service.
“Dr. Oluyomi Finnih exemplifies commitment and altruism in public and private service,” the Governor said. “His significant contributions to medicine have greatly advanced the health sector at both the state and national levels.”
Dr. Finnih, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, dedicated many years to the Lagos State Ministry of Health and was a key figure at Lagos Island Maternity Hospital. His professional journey later transitioned to private practice, where he served as the Medical Director and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Finnih Medical Centre in Ikeja.
“His leadership in healthcare, not only within Lagos but nationwide, has left an indelible mark,” Governor Sanwo-Olu continued in his statement. “Today, as we celebrate his remarkable life, we wish him continued good health and many more fruitful years.”
Dr. Finnih’s legacy extends beyond medicine, as he has served as a father figure, a mentor, and an inspiration to both his peers and future generations.
The Governor’s birthday wishes were a reflection of the deep respect Dr. Finnih commands in the community.
