Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has called on Nigerians to hold Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and his predecessor Yahaya Bello responsible in the event of any attack on her or her supporters.

In a post shared on her official Facebook page, Akpoti-Uduaghan voiced concerns over potential violence ahead of her scheduled Eid-el-Fitr visit to her constituency.

She emphasized that while she looked forward to peaceful celebrations, she feared for her safety due to escalating tensions in the region.

“My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Ododo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible,” she stated.

The senator, who remains defiant in her plans to hold a rally, urged her supporters to ignore rumors of her cancellation.

Despite a state-wide ban on rallies imposed by the Kogi Government over security concerns, Akpoti-Uduaghan confirmed her intent to proceed with her visit, which has garnered significant attention, especially from her enthusiastic supporters.

Earlier, Kogi police had advised her to cancel the rally, citing the state government’s recent restrictions on public gatherings.
