Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the recent social media death rumours, stating that he is in good health and focused on his work.

Speaking after inspecting four ongoing projects in the FCT, Wike described the rumours as politically motivated attempts to divert attention from more pressing issues.

He boldly stated, “I’ll write their condolence letters” in response to those spreading false reports about his health.

“There was no time I collapsed, there was no time anybody took me overseas. But you see me every day,” Wike clarified, emphasizing that he had not experienced any health issues.

He also pointed out that the rumour-mongering was a distraction from national concerns, such as a plan to attack national assets, previously revealed by the former Head of Service in Rivers State.

Wike reiterated that he is “healthier than most of them who carried that rumour” and expressed gratitude for the public’s concern, while reminding Nigerians that “it is only God that says the day you will die.”

On his inspection of the FCT projects, including the International Conference Centre (ICC), Wike expressed satisfaction with the progress, confirming that the projects are on track for completion.

“We are going to inaugurate several of these projects in the second anniversary of Mr President,” he said, reinforcing his commitment to delivering quality infrastructure to the capital.
