Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna has launched the state’s first-ever inclusive business strategy, aimed at driving economic growth and ensuring equitable opportunities for all.

The unveiling took place at a business breakfast organized by the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA) on Wednesday, with a cross-section of the business community and government officials in attendance.

The inclusive business strategy is a comprehensive plan designed to integrate low-income communities into the economic value chain, promote gender equality, and create sustainable livelihoods. Governor Sani’s deputy, Hadiza Balarabe, who represented him at the event, described the document as more than a policy—it’s a “roadmap to shared prosperity.”

“The document aligns with the Kaduna State Development Plan and the 2025 budget, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive development, economic diversification, and human capital growth,” Balarabe stated. “Through this strategy, we affirm a fundamental principle: economic growth must be for all, and not just a privileged few.”

Kaduna is a state rich in agricultural potential, manufacturing, and investments in technology and renewable energy. Balarabe emphasized that, “economic growth must be equitable; it must include the marginalized and empower the underserved,” stressing that this inclusive approach would foster innovation, resilience, and social cohesion.

Sadiq Mohammed, Executive Secretary of KADIPA, highlighted the state’s abundant resources and vibrant human capital but acknowledged the challenge of ensuring that economic growth translates into widespread opportunities. He assured that the strategy would leverage innovative business models and strategic partnerships to unlock the untapped potential of the state’s people and industries.

“This business breakfast is an opportunity to collaborate, align our goals, and lay the foundation for a thriving ecosystem of inclusive businesses in Kaduna State,” Mohammed concluded.
