Kano state governor, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, yesterday revealed that the state has abolished the dichotomy between the HND and Bsc degrees.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje disclosed this in Kano yesterday during the workers day celebrations held at Sani Abacha Stadium.
The governor explained that the decision to abolish the dichotomy was part of his administration’s efforts towards boosting civil servants’ morale. Ganduje also reaffirmed his commitment to paying the N30,000 new minimum wage.
He said his government had concluded arrangements for the implementation of the new wage. He said his administration was working assiduously to enhance workers’ welfare.
The chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state, Kabiru Minjibir, commended the state government for enhancing workers’ welfare. He urged the state government to pay allowances for workers of state tertiary institutions as applicable to their colleagues in the Federal Civil Service.
