Katsina Registers 1,850 Pilgrims for 2025 Hajj

Katsina State has registered 1,850 pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, out of the 3,680 seats allocated to the state by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

This was disclosed by the Executive Director of the Katsina State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yunusa Dankama, during a meeting with board members on Thursday in Katsina.

Dankama provided updates on the board’s preparations, stating, “The board has received the allocation of 3,680 Hajj seats from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria and currently registers approximately 1,850 pilgrims who have paid for the Hajj fares.”

He also revealed that Katsina State pilgrims will be the last batch to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia, with Max Air Airlines Limited approved for the transportation.

The Executive Director expressed gratitude to Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda for his support, saying, “We are thankful for the governor’s cooperation in facilitating the success of the board’s activities.”

The Board Chairman, Alhaji Kabir Alhazai, represented by Alhaji Ahmed Radda, urged members to work together to ensure a successful Hajj operation, echoing the achievements of the previous year.

The 2025 Hajj preparations are in full swing as Katsina State gears up to ensure a smooth pilgrimage for its citizens.
