Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Summa Group, a globally recognized construction firm, to develop the long-awaited Lekki-Epe International Airport.
In a statement released on his official X handle on Saturday, February 8, the Governor emphasized the significance of the project for Lagos’ future.
“This groundbreaking initiative is an essential part of our vision to improve connectivity in Lagos, stimulate economic growth, and draw in global investments,” Sanwo-Olu said.
“The Lekki-Epe International Airport will facilitate travel and create new opportunities for businesses and residents throughout the state.”
The project is poised to enhance connectivity in Lagos, one of Africa’s major economic hubs, and is expected to generate significant benefits for the state’s residents and businesses.
