Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced plans to increase vocational training programs in schools to prepare students for the future.
The governor made the pledge during the unveiling of new classroom blocks at Ipara Junior College, State Junior High School in Badagry, Awori Junior College, Ojo, and Thogli Community Grammar School, Badagry.
Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of education as the foundation for both individual growth and societal development. “Every child must have a strong foundation in education for the future,” he stated.
“These milestones underscore our dedication to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or location, has access to quality education and more vocational skills, enhanced digital literacy initiatives, and access to modern technology and resources.”
The governor also highlighted the completion of a new ultra-modern Tolu School Complex in Ajegunle, which will provide 36 different schools, an ICT hub, and other essential amenities.
“This project reflects our administration’s determination to bridge the gap between urban and rural schools,” he added.
The initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to empower students and communities across Lagos with the skills and resources needed to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving world.
