Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has secured the construction and rehabilitation of key roads in Ikorodu.
The projects include the 1.2km Dagbolu Road in Majidun, 1.2km Agunfoye Road in Igbogbo, and 1.2km Ojokoro Road in the Agric area of Ikorodu West LCDA.
These roads are part of Abiru’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in the district, which also includes the 32km Ikorodu-Itokin Road reconstruction.
A statement from his aide, Enitan Olukotun, highlighted that “These roads, once completed, will significantly ease transportation challenges, reduce travel time, and enhance economic activities in the respective communities.”
Abiru’s infrastructure initiatives extend beyond roads. He has also facilitated projects in education, healthcare, and power, including schools, hospitals, ambulances, medical supplies, and electricity transformers.
His dedication to sustainable development across Lagos East was praised during community engagements in Ojokoro and Dagbolu.
Olukotun emphasized the senator’s commitment, saying, “Apena Jimbo, Nurudeen Owolabi, and GRA 2 roads are the next targets for construction and rehabilitation.”
