LASG Trains Over 200 Women On Skills Acquisition

The Lagos State government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, have trained 225 women from Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Navy Officers’ Wives Association(NOWA) and Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association(NAFOWA), on 4- weeks short-term skills acquisition.

The graduands acquired skills that include Gele tying and make – up, Ankara craft and leather works, stoning and embellishments, tie and dye, adire making, hairdressing and wig making, catering and confectionaries making, insecticide, pomade and stove wick production, throw pillows production as well as events management decorations.

The trainees were also given start-up packs upon graduation, to commence trades immediately.
