The Nigerian Government and Sokoto State Government have agreed to come together in the war against terrorism in the state.
Both governments have declared a joint effort to tackle the security challenges bedeviling the state.
The deputy governor of the state, Idris Gobir, made this known on Tuesday, at Sabon Fegi in Sabon Birni town.
He said the move would address the security challenges facing Sokoto State.
He said the military base would be established in the Sabon Birmi Local Government Area.
“A military camp will be established in one of the three towns experiencing frequent banditry attacks.
“The towns are Burkusuma, Dama, and Magira,” he stated.
