Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has received a letter from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria approving the establishment of the Edo State College of Nursing Sciences, Benin.
This means that the institution can commence the training of nurses and midwives in the state.
Presenting the letter, the state’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Obehi Akoria and the Provost, Edo State College of Nursing Sciences, Prof. Mrs. Pat Ukaigwe, said the college will collaborate with Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey, United States on the programme and certification.
