Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Thursday began laying of asphalt on Oyingbo-Olisa-Saka Ashiru road in Ijebu-Ode, Local Government Area of the state, as part of state-wide road infrastructure development.
According to information revealed by Ogun State Special Assistant on New Media, Emmanuel Ojo, added that contractor in charge of the project is working according to schedule, as it nears completion.
Sometimes in October, recalled that Governor Dapo Abiodun, said the federal government is owning the state over N300bn, as the amount spent on rehabilitation of federal government roads across the state, while he played host to members of Igbobi College Old Boys Association who paid him a courtesy call in his Oke Mosan office.
However, decried the deplorable state of most of the federal roads in the state, added that a sum of N13bn would be needed to reconstruct the failed portions of the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta expressway, where N75bn would be needed to fix entire stretch of the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta expressway road.
While Emmanuel Ojo shared the information on his Social Media page, he urged residents of the state to join the government in building the future of the state together.
