Ogun State to Begin Reconstruction of Access Road to Federal University of Medicine

Ogun State has announced plans to commence the reconstruction of the access road to the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Science, located in Ajibayo Village. The project, which will be undertaken in collaboration with the federal government, is aimed at improving accessibility to the institution and enhancing infrastructure in the surrounding area.

“This long-overdue project will improve accessibility to the institution and enhance infrastructure in the area,” said a spokesperson for the Ogun State government. “Our administration remains committed to quality healthcare, strengthening our network of Primary Health Care Centers, and supporting institutions like the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta.”

In a related development, Ogun State has appointed Dr. Dayo Israel as the new Chairman of the FMC Board. The state government expressed optimism about the new collaboration to improve healthcare delivery.

“We welcome Dr. Dayo Israel as the new FMC Board Chairman and look forward to working together to advance healthcare in Ogun State,” the spokesperson added.

The Ogun State government also emphasized the importance of strong partnerships with both public and private sector stakeholders to ensure improved healthcare services and infrastructure for residents.

“By working with stakeholders, including the private sector, we will ensure improved medical services, better infrastructure, and a more efficient healthcare system for the benefit of all Ogun residents,” said the spokesperson.

This move comes as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery and enhance public infrastructure in Ogun State.
