The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, Ade Adetimehin, has dispelled rumours of alleged division within the party in the state.

According to Adetimehin, the ruling party in the state remains united and focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.

While speaking with newsmen in Akure, the state capital, on Monday, Adetimehin emphasised that all levels of the party have been collaborating harmoniously to ensure the effective provision of governance to the citizens.

The party chairman also commended Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the state leader of the party, for his hands-off approach to party affairs, which he said has fostered unity and cohesion among stakeholders at all levels.

He further stressed that Akeredolu’s leadership style has been instrumental in attracting opposition members to the APC.

Adetimehin added that the unity among stakeholders of the party has been a significant factor in positioning the party as a formidable force in all elections conducted within the state.

“Of all the political parties in Ondo State, the APC is the only united party in Ondo State. There is no division, and we are rancour-free. We work together under the leadership of Governor Akeredolu.

“He is a man who believes in the supremacy of the party. He never interferes in the running of the party. He allows the party to function effectively. That is what brings unity to the party and makes us the strongest political party in the state.”
