Oyo State Vows To Punish Teachers Extorting Students

Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Nureni Adeniran, has said that any teacher found extorting students would be ruthlessly dealt with.

Adeniran, who issued the warning on behalf of the state government during an inspection tour of some schools in Ido Council of the state, said the government would not condone acts of indiscipline.

In a statement signed by his media officer, Olamide Adeniji, the SUBEB chairman said that government would immediately clamp down on any school found to be contravening the order of Governor Seyi Makinde canceling the payment of fees in schools.
