Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commiserated with the Omidina family and the entertainment industry on the death of frontline comic actor Babatunde Omidina (aka Baba Suwe).

Baba Suwe died on Monday at 63.

In a statement yesterday by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, the governor said: “The late Baba Suwe was a bundle of talent, and he used his God-given gift to advance the course of mankind. He put smiles on the faces of many through his comic roles.

“The death of a loved one is usually painful because it is irreparable, but we must always take solace in God, especially if the deceased had lived a fulfilled life, just like the late Omidina.

“Baba Suwe’s death has left a vacuum that would take some time to be filled. I pray God will grant the deceased eternal rest and grant his family, colleagues and associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
