Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday swore in Ladi Oluwaloni as the new chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), following the passing of the previous chairman, Bolatito Shobowale.
In his address at the ceremony, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged Oluwaloni to focus on community development and align his efforts with the state government’s vision for progress. “I have no doubt that you will lead this LCDA to greater heights,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
Oluwaloni, in his speech, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve, saying, “I am profoundly grateful for this opportunity to serve and lead Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Your Excellency, I assure you that I will uphold the tenets of good governance as outlined in the THEMES+ Agenda of your administration.”
He pledged to build on the achievements of his predecessor and prioritize grassroots development. “With the support of Mr. Governor and our great party, I will bring development closer to our communities. Just yesterday, I handed over an ambulance to our primary health centre, which had been without one since its establishment,” Oluwaloni added.
Looking ahead, the new chairman committed to improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, with plans to inaugurate several roads in the council within the next two weeks. “These are just some of the things we are committed to delivering,” he concluded.
