Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has called on the South-East Development Commission (SEDC) to focus on one critical project at a time to achieve tangible results.
Speaking at a meeting with the newly appointed members of the commission, led by CEO Dr. Emeka Nworgu, Soludo emphasized the importance of concentrating efforts on a single initiative.
“We should not waste this opportunity of having this commission. Adopt a one-point agenda, such as the southeast rail network to connect all the state capitals, deliver it, and go to the second-point agenda,” said Soludo.
He cautioned against spreading resources too thin: “If you open a floodgate that you want to achieve over 50 important matters, some projects will be abandoned, and you will ask yourself, what did you achieve?”
Soludo also encouraged collaboration with South-East governors to ensure progress. Meanwhile, Nworgu praised Soludo’s achievements in health, education, and infrastructure, signaling a shared vision for the region’s growth.
