President Bola Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, on Wednesday for a two-week working visit. During the trip, Tinubu will assess his administration’s mid-term performance and evaluate key milestones achieved thus far.

In a statement released by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, it was revealed that the President will also use this time to review ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

“This period of reflection will inform plans to deepen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities in the coming year,” the statement read.

The Presidency also noted that Tinubu’s visit will highlight his commitment to economic progress, citing a significant increase in the country’s foreign exchange reserves, which recently rose to $23.11bn from $3.99bn in 2023.

Despite being abroad, President Tinubu will remain fully engaged in governance, overseeing activities from Paris.

He is expected to return to Nigeria in approximately two weeks.
