Lere Olayinka, media aide to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, has vowed to thwart former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s 2027 presidential ambitions.
Olayinka’s statement came in response to Atiku’s recent comment about having no regrets over not choosing Wike as his running mate in the 2023 election.
“Wike also has no regret for ensuring that he failed in the election and will make sure that he fails again and again,” Olayinka posted on X.
Atiku, who has contested the presidency six times, hinted at forming a coalition of opposition leaders to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
However, he remained noncommittal about his own presidential run, stressing the need for a “viable platform.”
Wike’s media aide made it clear that the former governor will remain a key player in the political battle ahead.
