Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday paid a working visit to the ongoing Adiyan Water Works Phase II project.
Accompanied by his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and members of the State Executive Council, the Governor was briefed on the progress of the crucial project aimed at improving water supply to Lagos residents.
The delegation was led on a tour of the facility by the Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab, and the Managing Director of the Lagos State Water Corporation, Mr. Mukhtaar Tijani.
Speaking during the visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of the project, stating, “The Adiyan Water Works Phase II is vital for ensuring that Lagosians have access to clean and safe water. We are committed to improving the water infrastructure in the state as part of our vision for a greater Lagos.”
Dr. Hamzat reiterated the Governor’s commitment, saying, “This project will significantly boost our water supply capacity and contribute to the overall well-being of our residents.”
