The Edo House of Assembly has confirmed 11 commissioner-nominees sent to it by Governor Godwin Obaseki for screening and confirmation.
The confirmation followed a letter from the governor on September 28 to the house speaker requesting the screening and confirmation of the nominees as commissioners in the state.
At the plenary yesterday, the chairman, House Committee on Rules, Business and Government House, Henry Okhuarobo, presented the report of the committee on the screening of the nominees to the House for consideration.
He said the nominees are competent, relatively young and physically fit for the state assignment.
The House, thereafter, unanimously in a voice vote confirmed the nominees as commissioners in the state.
