As support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu continues to grow whilst Nigerians await his formal declaration to run for the office of the president in the 2023 presidential elections, support groups across the country continue to present and launch their Pro-Asiwaju initiatives.
Recently launched is the Friends of BAT, a movement by Nigerians across Nigeria and abroad, coming together to mobilise support and promote initiatives to make their aspirations for a Bola Tinubu candidacy and eventual election as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential elections a reality.
Towards fulfilling its mission, to reach every eligible Nigerian voter for active participation in the 2023 elections, grassroots, online, social and mobile, Friends of BAT has inaugurated The Tinubu Organisation.
According to the convener of Friends of BAT and The Tinubu Organisation , Henry Balogun, The Organisation is not just another support initiative by politicians, but a national and global movement by Nigerians from all walks of life, ethnic groups and faiths across the country and abroad, coming together to mobilise support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with one core purpose, to call on Asiwaju to make a formal declaration to run, ensure his emergence as the APC candidate and thereafter organise and mobilise for his success at the polls in 2023. The Tinubu Organisation plans to reach Nigerians all over the country and in diaspora through our initiatives. We are building a massive network.
Henry Balogun further stated “We shall mobilise at the grassroots, we shall mobilise online, we shall mobiise on social media and we shall mobilise through mobile communications”. The main issue is we do not intend to be sycophants, we are a movement of the people, by the people, for the people. Nigeria and the people of Nigeria are at the core of our support. What questions are Nigerians asking that they want their next president to answer? What issues do they want solutions to?
The Tinubu Organisation is engaging with people, to reach every citizen for active participation in the next elections. Our support is beyond pushing an agenda, but to promote a cause which will involve the people’s pact. A contract between Nigeria’s next president and “we the people”. We are inviting all Nigerians to join the movement for future Nigeria as we preserve the best of the past, strive for quality today and plan properly for the future.The youth are at the core of our movement. TTO is championing the cause for political inclusion of the youth and promoting the inclusion of the new generation of social and political actors as we approach 2023.
Initiatives by The Tinubu Organisation cut across a wide range of people centric activities, including, Food 4 All, to support the SDGs Goal 2 on Zero Hunger, June 12th Initiative geared towards preserving Nigeria’s democracy and The Proteges, a leadership development and mentoring programme for young Nigerians by a network of politicians, technocrats, private and public sector leaders whose careers have been influenced by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu .
The Organisation will keep the public and supporters of Asiwaju updated on news and upcoming activities through its newly created one-stop public communications and information hub, The Tinubu Media Centre. (TMC).
The TTO Secretariat is located in Victoria Island, Lagos and plans are underway to set up local offices in states and local governments across NIgeria.
